We reimagined the Card Factory Foundation website to reflect its mission of positive change, combining design integrity with clarity, performance and ease of use.

The cardfactory Foundation is a registered charity created to support cardfactory colleagues, their families and the communities in which they live and work. With a growing impact across the UK, the Foundation needed a digital platform that could reflect its refreshed identity, improve accessibility and communicate its work more effectively to internal and external audiences alike.

The Challenge: Building Trust Through Better Design
The cardfactory Foundation had begun work on a new website but found that the early direction didn’t fully reflect their brand or meet their functional needs. With launch deadlines approaching, they turned to Everything Connected to shape a clear path forward, taking the approved designs and content, refining the structure, and delivering a high-quality, minimum viable site that offers full control over layout, content, and future growth.
Our Strategy: Rebuild from the Ground Up
We recommended a clean, custom WordPress build based on the Foundation’s approved page designs and finalised content. Rather than trying to retrofit the flawed existing build, we prioritised flexibility, consistency and ease of use from the outset. Our team translated static designs into responsive, functional layouts and worked in close collaboration with the Foundation to ensure that every element served both the user and the organisation’s long-term goals.


The Outcome: A Cohesive, Future-Ready Website
At the heart of the project was a Figma-based design system that underpinned the entire build. Designed for scalability and speed, the system brought together consistent grids, reusable components, and documented interaction states. This approach allowed for seamless design-to-development handover, and resulted in a site that is simple to manage, fully aligned with the Foundation’s identity, and built for future evolution. The new website now provides a confident digital presence that supports the Foundation’s work and reflects the positive impact it delivers every day.
